***** For Once In A Full Moon by Ellen Schreiber

I think Ellen Schreiber is my newest favorite YA author.  I loved the first book in the series Vampire Kisses and she continues to amaze me in her newest release,  Once In A Full Moon.

Celeste Parker had it all.  Two best friends,  Ivy and Abby.  The hottest boyfriend in all of Legend's Run High School,  football hero Nash.  From the girls cheering from the sidelines while the boys played sports to just hanging out,  Celeste,  Nash,  Ivy and her boyfriend Jake and Abby and her boyfriend Dylan were the perfect clique of six.  They thought life was all laid out before them,  they would be together forever.  They would go to the same colleges after high school and then get married.

When they are camping one night telling ghost stories,  Nash tells the story of Legend's Run Werewolf Lore.   Spooking himself and the others,  Celeste can't get the story out of her mind.  When Mr. Worthington,  an elderly gentleman that lives in the home Celeste volunteers at confirms the lore,  Celeste decides to do a paper for her school essay on werewolves.  The tale says that if one is bitten by a wolf,  he will become a werewolf.

Life had become routine on the Eastside as Celeste researches the Folk Lore of Legend's Run,  until newcomer Brandon Maddox walks into class.  Celeste feels a strong connection to Brandon from the first moment she laid eyes on him.  The problem is that he is from the Westside of town,  and East and West just don't mix.  On a dare,  the girls go to the Westside to see a psychic.  If they win,  the boys must be their servants for an entire day.

When the good Dr. Meadows forewarns Celeste of wolves and a kiss on the full moon,  Celeste thinks she is crazy.  As she walks home a snow storm hits and she becomes lost in the woods and almost attacked by wolves.  Who should her rescuer be?  The mysterious Brandon Maddox.  Wounded in the rescue,  Celeste tends to his wound,  and magic ignites.

Obsessed with Brandon Maddox and unable to get him out of her mind,  Celeste starts to question her relationship with Nash.  Now she must figure out the path she wants to travel,  and if the Werewolf Lore of Legend's Run holds merit or is just that,  a lore created long ago.

Once In A Full Moon is fast paced and has the perfect mix of suspense and romance.  I couldn't put this book down once I started.  I give it ***** (5) Stars.  Fantastic,  "Must-Read".

Virtual Book Tour & Review - The Sorcerer's Dream by Dreamshield

About The Sorcerer's Dream:

The story of a young woman bumping into the enigmatic sorcerer Running Deer and her initiation into the sorcerer's world and mastering conscious dreaming. It takes the reader throughout the magic realms of the unknown and gives a new approach to the traditional training of women sorcerers.

From Dreamshield's Website - www.dreamshield.nl

The Sorcerer’s Dream is a personal account from the author’s experiences in the Native American sorcerer’s tradition in the Art of Dreaming.

Alysa Braceau, Dreamshield explains the teachings from the Indian shaman sorcerer Running Deer in such a manner that can also be used for the reader as a guidebook to practice lucid dreaming him/herself.

My Thoughts about The Sorcerer's Dream:

This book isn't exactly what I thought it was going to be,  but it was a great tale.  I think I was expecting more of a direct approach to conscious dreaming.  What it is though, is a memoir if you will,  of Alysa's own experience as she learns the Native American techniques to conscious dreaming.  It follows Alysa's teachings with the help of her guide and mentor, Running Deer.

Her experiences as she learns Shamanism is incredible.  From her first dream to reaching the second reality,  it was amazing to realize the actual meanings behind her dreams.  The course of recognizing and facing your fears,  some of which you don't even realize you have.  Alysa did a great job explaining her journey and it's a great guide to follow to recognizing the meaning behind your own dreams.

The journey doesn't stop at lucid dreaming,  but also includes spiritual healing as well.  If you are interested in conscious dreaming and the road traveled to reach totality,  then you will thoroughly enjoy this book.

I give The Sorcerer's Dream **** (4) Stars.  Well done Alysa.

***** Review of Ordeal by T.K. Varenko

Ordeal by T.K. Varenko was a fantastic read!  Unlike your normal Vampire Romance,  Varenko captures the essence of paranormal with such beauty.

Luella is the queen of vampires,  and engaged to Antoine.  The problem is that both want to rule the Vampire Realm.

When Antoine sends a mere human to his queen in celebration of their engagement,  he never expected her to fall in love with him.  In his anger,  he has this mortal put to death.

In her devastation,  Luella goes on the rampage and seeks her revenge for the death of her loved one.  After her killing Antoine on her killing spree,  she must be punished.

Her punishment sends her into an infant body where she must endure life as Alice, a human.  As she grows,  her memories are lost to her.  That is until she finds herself fascinated with a man,  that she believes is of her dreams.

In an unexpected turn of events,  she finds love and her reason for being.

Varenko did a fabulous job with this story.  Using poetry to tell this tale,  she was able to entice and enthrall,  keeping your interest until the very end.  The beauty in which Ordeal is written,  is both exciting,  and completely different than any other "Everyday" vampire romance.  Writing in this genre is a bit challenging,  but to write in this genre using poetry?  Phenomenal!

It truly is Poetic Justice.  I give Ordeal ***** (5) Stars,  BK Walker,  http://bkwalkerbooks.weebly.com
