Before we begin,  a quick apology to all the readers and Savannah that were expecting this post yesterday,  I got a little confused.  Hey,  I'm getting old my brain is tired lol.  Here it is though.  What you all have been waiting for.  Welcome Savannah and thank you so much for stopping back in.  Today I had a chance to chat with Savannah,  and she is kind enough to offer you all a chance to win a copy of Beloved of the Fallen.  I absolutely loved this book,  and you can check my review HERE.  Details for the giveaway will follow.

Fun Facts:

BK:  Fantasy or Horror?

 SK:  I love both, with a balance between the two. In fantasy I like an edge of fear and suspense, and in horror I like there to be at least a hint of hope.

BK:  Day or Night? 

SK:  Night, definitely. The world starts looking friendlier to me at about six in the evening. I love staying up past midnight, either out on the town with other nightbreed or up late working after the ordinary world has gone to sleep.

BK:  Favorite Drink? 

SK:  Viennese drinking chocolate topped with unsweetened whipped cream. Delicious!

BK:  Favorite Movie? 

SK:  "The Monster Club" with Vincent Price, John Carradine, and Donald Pleasance. It's a British anthology film from the early 80s that combines great actors with cool stories and crazy monster-themed music. Love it! 

BK:  What is a must have to write?

SK:  Solitude. It's both the blessing and the curse of the writing profession. I find that I must have that time away from everything and everyone in order to free my imagination and bring order to my thoughts.

BK:  If you could possess a supernatural power, what would it be and why?

SK:  I would say eternal health and youthfulness, like Dorian Gray without the losing your soul part. I'm not sure that counts as a "power" per se, but I think that would be the most useful of supernatural gifts. That way I'd have more time to accomplish all my goals and see everything there is to see in the world.

BK:  Favorite Book? 

SK:  That's a tough question, because I love so many books! My favorites tend to be quite gothic, such as "Through Violet Eyes" by Stephen Woodworth, "Uncle Silas" by J. Sheridan LeFanu, "The Monk," by Matthew Lewis, "Frankenstein," by Mary Shelley, "Cabal" by Clive Barker, and "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte. I am also influenced quite a bit by the Bible, which is full of terrifying, romantic, and miraculous stories.

BK:  Favorite Author? 

SK:  My favorites include Anne Rice, Christine Feehan, Erik Larson, and Carlos Luis Zafon. But there are so many that I love, and I'm always finding new authors who intrigue me. I read in every genre, but anyone who can combine a compelling writing style with an offbeat subject is sure to get my attention.

BK:  Favorite Song? 

SK:  Music is a really big part of my life. I love the message in the song "World Hold On" by Bob Sinclar. I think it goes with the idea of a fallen angel and trying to save a dying world. I also love 80s music and the theme song from the musical "Grease." I believe every word of that song!

BK:  Favorite Saying? 

SK:  "Carpe Noctem."

BK:  What is one thing your readers would be most surprised to know about you?

SK:  It's hard to gauge a reader's perception of a fiction author. But the readers might be interested to know that I've worked as a professional stage actress. I've played both leading and character roles, including a young girl who falls passionately in love with a witch-boy, a child devastated by the Holocaust, and a frisky Cockney maid. In one production I played two characters: a senile old lady and a snobbish high-school student. That made for some interesting costume changes!

BK:  What is the craziest thing you've ever done? 

SK:  In a sense, the craziest thing is also the one that makes the most sense: following my dream to become a writer. Psychologically that was the most difficult for me. But in everyday life, probably the craziest thing I've done is to accept a ride from a complete stranger after my car broke down. He turned out to be a nice guy, but really, what was I thinking?

BK:  What do you hope readers will most take away from your writing? 

SK:  While reading my work, I hope that my readers will share my belief that anything is possible. That no matter who you are, the miracle of love can happen for you.

BK:  If someone could describe you in one word, what would it be?

SK:  I asked my friends for help on this one. Three out of four chose "Passionate." The fourth said, "Enthusiastic." So there you have it!

BLB Ebook Tours - Review of Beloved of the Fallen by Savannah Kline

Beloved of the Fallen by Savannah Kline was an enthralling read.  From murder to holy restoration this one is a definite page turner.

Valentin thought he could protect his charge,  a Destined,  by defying God's Will.  Saving Amaris from committing suicide,  God's Will is strong and Satan is stronger.  She faces a torturous death and Valentin is mortified.

Sent to join the rest of the Fallen,  Valentin finds himself deformed and stripped of his angelic beauty,  and a broken wing incarcerating him to Hell.

A new Destined has risen,  and Lucifer has big plans for her.  Valentin is forced to take on a new charge,  and though he feels his actions constitute eternity in Hell,  he is sent to Earth where he meets Kira Castlemaine.

Kira is mourning her father's death.  All in the plan of the 'Light House' members,  Kira is convinced to take her father's seat and become the next Congresswoman,  as "it's what her father would want."  Lucifer needs her in this position in order for his plans,  to create his own heaven,  to be effective.  He needs souls to stay strong,  and WWIII is just the way to obtain that power.

Valentin must keep a watchful eye over Kira,  and make sure plans go as intended.  He joins the campaign and helps Kira win the votes to make it as Congresswoman.  What he never expected was to fall in love with her.

Knowing that God's Will is the only way to be happy,  he decides to help Kira overcome the Fallen's plans and hopes to feel God's love once again.  Kira is a very intelligent woman though,  and she will figure out that there is an evil at work.  Can Valentin prove to Kira that his love is pure and find himself in God's good graces,  or will Lucifer prove to be more powerful creating his own heaven on Earth damning the souls of every human?

Kline did a fantastic job keeping the suspense alive.  I couldn't put this book down until I knew what happened in the end,  which was a very surprising ending.  It's a fast paced read with enough action to keep you turning the pages.  I absolutely loved Valentin,  feeling his struggles from beginning to end.  I loved this book!

I give Beloved of the Fallen 5 Flaming Roses.  If you love angels,  with a perfect mix of romance and suspense,  you will love this book.
