GFP: Giveaway and Fun Facts with Lisa Sanchez - Obsessed

Lisa Sanchez
Lisa's lifelong love of writing, coupled with her ability to weave together and intricate and compelling story has led to the release of her first published novel, Eve Of Samhain. In her role as a busy stay-at-home and self proclaimed "cheer mom," on any given day Lisa wears a number of different hats. From taxi driver to chef, nurse to seamstress, laundry woman to enforcer, and, of course, writer, Lisa manages to keep everything together while caring for her husband and three children. The few spare moments left in her day are usually spent reading or writing, and if she's really lucky, possibly even catching up on some much needed sleep. Lisa and her family currently reside in Tracy, California.

Welcome to the Round Table. May I offer you a beverage before we begin?

Yes, please. And thank you!

I know you love Diet Coke but hope you will enjoy this Margarita because they are my favorite :). Enjoy.

Thank you so much for taking time to chat with me today. It's so nice to have you at the Round Table.

Thank you for having me!

Lisa is currently on tour with Goddess Fish Promotions and is kindly offering to one lucky winner from her entire tour a chance for a $20 Amazon Gift Card.  So be sure to leave a comment with your email address so we have a way to contact you should your name be drawn.

BK: Fantasy or Horror?
Fantasy all the way. I’m a huge fan of mystical creatures, magic and all things otherworldly.

BK: Day or Night?
When I was in my 20’s (and well before kids) I would have said night. Nowadays, I’m lucky if I don’t pass out before 9pm! My home life and my writing both keep me on my toes. I’m definitely a day person now.

BK: Favorite Drink?
Diet Coke

BK: Favorite Movie?
Argh! This is a tough question. I’m a total movie buff and have several favorites. Yeesh…how to choose, how to choose. Okay! I think I’m going to go with When Harry Met Sally and The Notebook. I have several more recent favorites, but these two are classics in my opinion, and you can’t go wrong with a classic.

BK: What is a must have to write?
Diet Coke, a snack and my Chihuahua at my feet.

BK: If you could possess a supernatural power, what would it be and why?
Super speed. I’m a stay at home mom to three girls. As I’m sure you can imagine, they generate a ton of laundry among other things. Super speed would allow me to finish my chores quickly, leaving more time to write!

BK: Favorite Book?
Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward

BK: Favorite Author? J.R. Ward

BK: Favorite Song?
Right now I’m loving Born This Way by Lady Gaga

BK: Favorite Saying?
Not sure this is a saying, but I’m constantly telling my oldest to “stifle!” Girlfriend likes to talk. Incessantly.

BK: Sometimes while reading a book we visualize a certain actor/actress playing the part. If your book were being made into a movie, which actor or actresses do you see playing the part(s)?
Hmm…I’m thinking Channing Tatum would be a great choice for Nick. That boy is smokin’ hot!! For Halley I’m not so sure. I really like Amanda Seyfried. I think she’s beautiful and has a great mix of gentleness and vulnerability that Halley possesses in spades. She’s also got great chemistry with Channing. Problem is, she’s not a brunette. Argh!

BK: What is one thing your readers would be most surprised to know about you?
I’m painfully shy. I don’t talk a lot, so most people think I’m conceited. This is not the case. In most cases, I’m just terrified to speak, lol!

BK: What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Hmm…stayed up past 10pm? Hell, I don’t know. I’m pretty damn boring when it comes down to it. Hahaha!

BK: If someone could describe you in one word, what would it be?
Loyal

The victim of both a brutal attempted rape and now a serial stalking, Halley Davis is broken, and desperate to glue the shattered pieces of her life back together. Tormented by a psychopath and battling a heavy dose of anxiety, sex and dating are the last things on Halley’s anxiety-ridden mind. That is, until she meets the man who rescued her from the hands of a would-be rapist. With a body made for sin, a wicked, sexy tattoo and an aura that screams “badass,” her rescuer not only calms the storm of terror raging inside her mind, he ignites a passion within her she’s never known before.

Tired of using meaningless sex to drown out the horrors of his past, Nick Ackart has sworn off women. In fact, if women were classified as meat, his ass is Vegan. Despite his determination to remain unattached, Nick is unable to stay away from the emerald-eyed beauty he rescued from a sadistic pervert. Immersed in a tangled web of sexual desire and deep emotion he was certain was long dead, he vows to protect Halley from the monster hounding her, even though he stands to lose his heart in the process.

Excerpt

Kaiti let out a frustrated sigh and yanked her cell out of her bag. “This crap isn’t gonna fly. I need to call the city and find out why our water isn’t turned on. I’ll be right back.” She stormed out the back entrance of the future bakery, her black heels clacking against the floor, her cell phone plastered to her ear.
Alone, Halley inhaled a slow, steady breath. She stood in the center of the large empty space, just breathing in the possibilities. Closing her eyes, she let her imagination run wild. She may have been standing amidst the dusty remnants of what was once a clothing boutique, but her mind pictured a bustling café. A top-notch pâtisserie, pushing out the finest cassata, pasticciotti, and cannoli money could buy. Located on Columbus, in the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach, Zeppoli’s Bakery would be the place to go to get your sugar on. In just a handful of weeks, the dream she’d been holding on to for so long would finally become a reality. And oh yeah, baby, she was giddy with excitement.
The corners of her lips pulled up into a smile as she pictured a large refrigerated display case full of pastries, cakes, and desserts. The image of a shiny new commercial-grade convection oven filled with biscotti sent her mouth watering and her mind racing with possibilities. Most women got excited about new shoes, expensive designer purses. Not her. Throw a commercial-grade mixer in front of her, and she’d salivate all over the thing. The name KitchenAid was an aphrodisiac.
Daydreaming, are we?”
Halley jumped, her high-pitched yelp bouncing off the dust-covered walls. She wheeled around, her hands automatically reaching for her injured neck and chest as she backed away from -- Mr. Blue Eyes?

I was suprised to find out that people in highschool thought I was stuck up when I was honestly just too shy to say anything to them.

Good luck with sales!!!
