Heart of Eden Short Story Contest - Readers Choice Awards

Heart of Eden

I came across this picture in an application on Facebook.  Imagine all of the stories you could come up with surrounding this particular Heart of Eden.  So I thought,  I want to hear them.  So here is the deal.

For every short story submitted,  you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Card.  Not only will you win a gift card,  but you will get placement into our new magazine at the Virtual Book Tour Cafe' - Writing Innovations,  but ssshhhh,  that's a surprise yet to come.

One winner will win a 10 stop Virtual Book Tour - to include a banner,  spotlight on the VBT Cafe' Blog,  and a spot on BK Media Entertainment on Blog Talk Radio.

One lucky writer will receive some critiquing or their work in progress and earn themselves a spotlight with a current published title on the VBT Cafe' Blog

Here are the rules:

  • Submit a story,  take it any direction you want to go with it as long as it involved the above picture of the Heart of Eden and must contain "Heart of Eden" somewhere in your storyline to bkwalkerbooks@comcast.net "Heart of Eden" in the Subject line.
  • The story must be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 3000.
  • Story submissions must be received by June 1, 2011
Share the contest,  vote on your favorites as I will be putting excerpts from the stories if not the entire story here on the blog for all to see during the contest.  Readers can vote on their favorites and at the end,  we will be posting a poll and it will be readers choice for who wins what.  So be sure to share your story and direct them here to vote,  then encourage them to vote on the final day.  We will post the poll on June 1 and rotate all stories.  Winner will be announced June 15.

1st Prize - $25 Amazon Gift Card
2nd Prize - Virtual Book Tour
3rd Prize - Spotlight on the VBT Cafe' Blog and Critique of WIP

So what have you got to lose?  Get your creative juices flowing and send me those submissions.  I can't wait to read them,  and don't forget to share this post.  The more that  know about it the more votes you may get come June 1.  It's anyone's game and anyone at all can enter!

Until next time,
